CLERMONT, Florida — A 28-year-old woman has died as the result of a crash Sunday afternoon, according to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Kim Montes.
The woman was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on County Road 561A near Lakeview Drive when she failed to negotiate a curve, Montes said in a press release. The Nissan traveled onto the shoulder, through a culvert and struck a power pole, shortly before 5:30 p.m. The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
