EUSTIS, Florida — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 17-year-old boy suspected of shooting a woman following Light-Up Eustis last month.
Brycen Jacobe Williams is suspected of shooting a vehicle at the intersection of Eustis Street and Clifford Avenue in downtown Eustis and a stray bullet travelled more than 200 yards and struck a woman in the arm shortly after 9:30 p.m. Nov. 27. The woman was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford where she underwent surgery, according to Eustis Police Public Information Officer J. Allred. She is recovering from her injury.
“The victim was standing several hundred feet from where the shooting took place and was not the intended target,” Allred said last month.
Lake Legal News was the only media organization on scene the night of the shooting.
EPD is still looking for persons of interest in the shooting, along with Williams, Allred said in a press release Friday night, three weeks after the shooting.
If you have any information on the shooting, or know Williams’ whereabouts, call EPD Det. Cpl. Travis Carpenter at 352-483-5400.
