EUSTIS, Florida — A 7:30 pm head-on collision claimed the lives of two Lake County motorcyclists Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 20-year-old Eustis man was riding a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on County Road 44A near Eldorado Drive when he traveled over the double yellow line and struck a 2018 Suzuki motorcycle head-on. The rider of the Suzuki, a 37-year-old man of Grand Island, was ejected, along with the Eustis man, FHP Kim Montes said in a press release.
Both men were wearing helmets and the crash remains under investigation. At press time, neither man’s next of kin had been notified.
