EUSTIS, Florida — One person was killed and another injured in a mobile home fire at Southern Palms RV Resort Thursday night.
Eustis Deputy Fire Chief Scott Davis told Lake Legal News a woman was killed in the fire that was 50 percent involved when fire crews arrived.
“The guys got a real quick knockdown on the fire,” Davis said.
A man received minor burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares by Lake EMS. Neither victim’s name is being released at this time.
The home on Sunshine Circle is a total loss, EFD Chief Mike Swanson told LLN early Thursday night. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office and that information will not be released until the investigation is complete, Davis said.
