TAVARES, Florida — A Tavares woman is facing a felony charge after being accused of shooting at her sister last month.
According to a Tavares Police Department probable cause affidavit, the mother of Roysha Deloris Webber, 30, went to her daughter’s apartment at Caroline Court, 1000 East Caroline street, to get her belongings on Feb. 21. Webber’s mother brought her daughter and granddaughter with her to help and Webber came home after they arrived.
An argument ensued between Webber and her mother and Webber’s sister told her mother not to argue with Webber, and Webber reportedly said, “[Expletive,] I’ll shoot you in the face. The two sisters began physically fighting and Webber pepper sprayed her sister, according to the affidavit; their mother tried to get in between the siblings and Webber pepper sprayed her too.
Webber is then alleged to have gone into her apartment and retrieved a gun and shot a single round at her sister, the affidavit states. A warrant was issued for Webber’s arrest Tuesday and she was booked into the Lake County Jail Friday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was released just over an hour later on $5,000 bond.
