TAVARES, Florida — Tavares Police are searching for an armed robber who pistol-whipped a store employee Tuesday morning.
Just before 8:45 a.m. a man came in through the back door of Lake Dora Discount Beverage, 532 South Duncan Drive in the Dora Canal Plaza, and pistol-whipped a female employee, and robbed the store, Tavares Police Lt. Sarah Coursey told Lake Legal News. The attack was unprovoked, according to Coursey.
“He left through the front with an undisclosed amount of money,” Coursey said.
