LEESBURG, Florida — A Leesburg woman was arrested earlier this month for stabbing her child’s father during an argument that left a bathroom covered in blood and sent the man to the hospital.
Teresa Ann Jordan, 34, was arrested at her apartment in Leesburg Nov. 9, nearly a week after the Nov. 3 incident, according to an arrest affidavit.
On Nov. 3, Leesburg Police responded to an apartment on Old Harbor Boulevard around 6:30 a.m. after Jordan called 9-1-1. She and the victim could be heard arguing during the call and then the victim yelled, “You stabbed me! You stabbed me!” and Jordan reportedly responded, “(Expletive) I’ll stab you again!”
When police arrived, they found that the victim had just been transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was suffering from a deep knife wound under his left armpit, a puncture wound to his left forearm, along with scratches to his face and a bite wound, according to the affidavit.
Jordan told police the couple had been drinking and she dozed off to sleep. She woke up and vomited, fell back asleep and woke up again between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. She told police they began arguing and the victim picked up a kitchen knife from the sink. She said the victim “swung on me” and they started “tussling,” the affidavit states. Jordan said the victim ran into the bathroom and locked the door and she put her shoulder into the door and broke it in. The victim then began yelling “you stabbed me” and she called 9-1-1.
Police interviewed the victim at the hospital, and he said Jordan was “chug-a-luggin” alcohol and he told her to slow down. He said Jordan vomited and got some of the vomit on their baby and he videoed Jordan being intoxicated. Jordan went to bed and he went to bed after watching cartoons with the infant, he told police.
The victim said Jordan woke up around 5:30 a.m. and began arguing with him and telling him to leave. He told her was not leaving in the dark on his bicycle and he would leave in the morning, according to the affidavit. She began biting and scratching him and she is “a lot taller, bigger and stronger than he is,” and pinned him against a door, he told police. She refused to let him go, so he pulled her hair, pushed past her and fled into the bedroom. He tried to flee to the bathroom, but Jordan stabbed him. She continued to try to stab him through the crack in the door and he sprayed her with witch hazel. Jordan then called 9-1-1.
The damages to the door and the victim’s injuries were consistent with the victim’s story and Jordan was arrested Nov. 9. She was transported to the Lake County Jail, where she was released on $4,000 bond.
Jordan was arrested in January for domestic battery, but it is unclear if it is the same victim; however the arresting officer in this case noted Jordan and the man had been in an on-and-off relationship for a year.
