APOPKA, Florida – A head-on collision killed one Lake County resident and seriously injured another Thursday night, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Raymond Sater, 43, of Eustis was driving a 2002 Ford truck southbound on Plymouth Sorrento Road near Boch Road, when he attempted to pass another vehicle. Sater struck a northbound Volkswagen Jetta head-on, being driven by 25-year-old Parker Anthony, of Sorrento.
Anthony was killed and Sater was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The crash is still under investigation.
