TAVARES, Florida – Police are searching for an armed robber who held Dunkin Donuts’ employees at gunpoint Saturday night.
A man armed with a small black handgun walked into Dunkin Donuts, 451 S. Duncan Drive around 8 p.m. Saturday. “He took cash from the registers while behind the counter and had staff on the floor briefly at gunpoint,“ Tavares Police Sgt. Sarah Coursey reported to Lake Legal News in a text message. Tavares Police Department has released two still photos received from security footage:
He fled on foot and K9 tracked him to Summerall Park and the search was terminated, Coursey said.
The suspect is described as a slender black male, 5’10” to 6’ tall. If you have information on the robbery, call Tavares Police at 352-742-6200.
