CLERMONT, Florida — A Clermont woman is accused of stabbing her brother in the arm three times with a screwdriver Friday night over a missing phone charger.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 11100 block of Oleander Drive in unincorporated Clermont around 7:20 p.m. Friday after a man reported his sister, Christy Lyn Moherek, 54, was drunk and stabbed him with a screwdriver, according to an arrest affidavit.
After separating the siblings, the victim told deputies he and his sister argued throughout the day after she accused him of stealing a phone charger. Around 7:15 p.m., he went to the back porch of the home he shares with his sister and their mother “to cool off and get away from the intoxicated Christy,” the arresting deputy wrote in the affidavit.
He told LCSO while he was on the porch, “arrestee Christy came to the back porch wielding a Phillips head screwdriver and began to strike him in the left arm three times,” the affidavit states. The victim did have visible injuries, the deputy noted. Moherek was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and transported to the Lake County Jail, where she is being held on $10,000 bond.
