EUSTIS, Florida — For the second time in less than 24 hours, a body was found in Eustis.
The body was found Friday morning at 15821 U.S Highway 441 near the intersection of Dillard Road by an employee of a local business, Eustis Police Officer J. Allred told Lake Legal News.
“We got the call a little after 7 this morning,” Allred told Lake Legal News.
The white male, who was in his mid-40s, was found near the driver’s side of a blue Nissan Frontier with two handguns underneath his body, Allred said in a press release. Police found a folder in the man’s truck with instructions related to the handling of his personal effects, Allred said. The medical examiner took custody of the body and will continue the investigation.
LLN rarely reports on suicides. In this case, due to the body being found near a heavily-traveled area, and the large police presence, we opted to inform our readers there was no danger to the community.
On Thursday afternoon, the body of a man was found in Lake Eustis by a passerby on the Eustis Lake Walk near the Eustis Community Center. EPD Cpl. Lauren Brown told LLN Thursday. Police identified him as Dustin Renaux, 43, Friday. That case remains under investigation.
