EUSTIS, Florida — A DeLand man was killed late Wednesday afternoon after having a medical episode and crashing his truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Edward Manners, 76, was eastbound on State Road 44 near Pumpkin Lane, just after 5 p.m. in a 2012 Chevrolet truck when he had a medical issue. He left the road, struck a fence and hit several trees, according to an FHP press release. He was wearing his seat belt and alcohol was not related.
Manners was transported to AdventHealth Waterman, where he died. The crash is under investigation
