MOUNT DORA, Florida — A woman was killed in a local convenience store just before 9 p.m. Monday night, according to City of Mount Dora spokeswoman Lisa McDonald.
Mount Dora Police responded to a call of a shooting at T & N Market, 1345 North Grandview Street, just a few blocks from the police department and found a man and a woman shot inside the store. The female was pronounced dead on the scene, McDonald said in a press release. The man was airlifted to Central Florida Regional Medical Center in Sanford. He is in critical condition.
McDonald did not identify either victim, but numerous sources told Lake Legal News the victims owned the store.
This is an active investigation and detectives are working to determine a motive, McDonald said.
