CLERMONT, Florida — A woman pleaded not guilty last week to stabbing her boyfriend in the stomach during an argument about cheating in September.
Michelle Kunjan, 23, told Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies she received a call from a female through Snapchat and “had issues with him cheating before,” the arrest affidavit states.
Kunjan said she began throwing the victim’s clothes on the bed at their Cagan Oaks apartment and told him to leave. She claims the victim got a knife from the kitchen, walked in the bedroom and said, “You have to kill me to leave, this is my house too.”
According to Kunjan, the couple wrestled over the knife and the victim’s left hand was cut and they continued to fight over the knife until he was stabbed in the stomach, the affidavit states. The victim left the apartment and was in the parking lot holding a roll of paper towels to his stomach when deputies arrived. A blood trail was found from the apartment to the parking lot, along with blood on the bathroom door and the comforter, the arresting deputy noted.
The victim was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center and while there, the victim told LCSO that Kunjan grabbed a knife— and the victim was cut on the finger and stabbed in the abdomen while defending himself. Kunjan was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She was taken to the Lake County Jail where she was released on $10,000 bond.
