MOUNT DORA, Florida — A woman has been arrested in connection with the double-murder and armed robbery of two beloved store owners.
Mount Dora Police Department arrested Undrea Lashaye Dixon for lying to law enforcement about the incident. Dixon, 42, is alleged to have entered T& N Market, 1345 North Grandview Street, following the shooting and heard Khiem Ba “Ken” Trinh, 56, and Minh “Tina” Nguyen, 47, “in distress,” City of Mount Dora Spokeswoman Lisa McDonald said in a press release Friday night.
Dixon failed to render aid to the victims or summon help and left the store and returned home. She told investigators she entered the store and “saw nothing,” the press releases states.
Dixon — who was spotted on video surveillance entering the store, and later returned to the scene the night of the robbery/murder — was recognized by investigators and gave a sworn statement.
She was taken into custody Friday and charged with providing false information to law enforcement in a capital felony, according to McDonald. She is being held in the Lake County Jail on no bond.
Trinh and Nguyen were shot multiple times shortly before 9 p.m. Monday; Nguyen died on the scene and Trinh died Thursday. The couple leaves behind two sons.
MDPD Interim Chief Brett Meade released a statement Friday, following Dixon’s arrest. “As we continue to vigorously investigate this case, we ask those tips to keep coming in. We have received viable tips that we are following up on and we are several steps closer to solving this horrendous crime.”
Crimeline is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, if you have information, call 1-800-423-TIPS (8477.) Tipsters can remain anonymous.
