[12/16/19: 5:01] TAVARES, Florida — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body found in Dead River Monday. The body of D’Angelo Tyrek Terele Hardwick, of Tavares was spotted by a boater Monday afternoon, near Palm Gardens Restaurant & Marina, said LCSO Lt. John Herrell in a press release.
Detectives with LCSO believe Hardwick, 19, was one of four suspects in the early Friday morning armed robbery of Joy’s, an internet café located near the intersection of U.S. Highway 441 and County Road 473, Herrell said. Two suspects were apprehended that morning in a swampy area near the internet cafe. Hardwick’s body was found less than one mile from the scene of the robbery. One suspect remains at large.
Authorities have not released a cause of death. The investigation in ongoing, Herrell said.
