SORRENTO, Florida- A 39-year-old Sorrento man was picked up on an indecent exposure warrant Friday, stemming from an incident in October.
On Oct. 13, a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a suspicious male, later identified as Noel Perez, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or narcotics walking around a Sorrento neighborhood, according to an arrest affidavit. The caller stated the man was walking up to doors and attempting to go into houses. Several hours later, the same man exposed himself to the caller at her back door in the early morning hours of Oct. 14. LCSO canvassed the area with negative results.
Later, after reviewing her surveillance video, the victim saw Perez approach her back door with his pants around his knees and his genitals exposed. He checked her back door and went out of frame. He can been seen coming and going three times in a span of just 15 minutes, according to the affidavit. He also had to jump a privacy fence to gain entry to her backyard, the deputy notes.
The victim uploaded the video to a neighborhood watch social media platform and two people recognized Perez and sent the victim a link to prior booking information at the Lake County Jail to confirm his identity. Perez was arrested in 2012 for two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated battery. The deputy positively identified Perez through photos and matching a tattoo he is known to have, to one seen on the surveillance video.
Perez is currently in the Lake County Jail on no bond after an unknown charge was added.
