LEESBURG, Florida – Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a Leesburg home Tuesday to find a woman actively fighting a male family member, even after she knocked two of his teeth out.
As soon as deputies arrived to the home on River Ridge Drive, Jordan Campanella, 21, had to be “secured in handcuffs for the safety of everyone on scene,” her arrest report stated. The male victim was in great pain from the loss of his teeth and had blood on his arms and shirt. A female victim – also related to Campanella – had blood on her arms and clothing, according to the report.
The male victim told deputies Campanella said she wanted to go out after she had been drinking heavily and he told her it wasn’t a good idea for her to go out in that state. She became upset and began punching him, knocking his teeth out. He was able to hold her to the ground until the female victim walked in; Campanella began striking the female, causing a laceration on her face, according to arrest records.
The victims refused transport by EMS and Campanella was arrested and charged with domestic battery and a felony charge of aggravated battery causing permanent disfigurement.
This is Campanella’s second domestic violence charge in just over a month. She was arrested by Clermont Police Sept. 21 for domestic battery on a different male. Her relationship to that victim is not known. She is being held in the Lake County Jail on no bond after her bond on the first domestic violence charge was revoked.
