LADY LAKE, Florida — A search warrant that yielded multiple guns, an explosive detonation cord and various forms of marijuana and paraphernalia resulted in eight criminal charges for a 37-year-old Lady Lake man Friday.
Around 11:30 a.m. Friday, detectives with LCSO’s Special Investigations Unit conducted a search at the home of Ronald Lamar Jones, 39918 Grays Airport Road, Lady Lake, according to an arrest affidavit. Among the items found in the search were an explosive detonation cord, indoor marijuana grow room with 13 plants, various round of ammunition, THC edibles, mason jars containing green leafy marijuana, THC concentrate wax, pipes, rolling papers and a safe containing six guns and ammunition. Only Jones, who has a Colorado felony conviction, had the combination to the safe and gave it to detectives, an unidentified detective noted in the arrest affidavit.
Jones told detectives he is the sole occupant of the house and all the items belonged to him, the affidavit states. Jones was charged with possession of an explosive device by a convicted felon, cultivation of marijuana, possession of cannabis concentrates, possession of firearms by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a place for manufacturing a controlled substance. He was released from the Lake County Jail on $42,000 bond.
