EUSTIS, Florida – A woman reported missing Sunday by her son has been found dead, police said Wednesday. Teresa Waller took off on foot from Sun Country Court around 5 a.m. Sunday, according to a report taken by the Eustis Police Department. Friends and family posted flyers in the area and posted numerous times on local word of mouth Facebook pages in hopes of finding her.
Eustis Police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) after taking the report Sunday. A local driver for a ride-sharing service thought he spotted Waller at Walmart in Mount Dora, but attempts to find her on video were fruitless. On Monday police spoke with Waller’s daughter who informed an officer of her mother’s medical issues. She was then upgraded to a missing/endangered adult.
LLN’s attempts to reach Waller’s family were unsuccessful
Late Tuesday afternoon, a passerby walking his dog found Waller’s body on non-active railroad tracks in Eustis near the intersection of Foote Street and CR 452, near the fairgrounds.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma (to the body) and we’re waiting on the medical examiner” said Eustis Police Officer Lauren Brown.
