ORLANDO, Florida – A Clermont man is dead following a four-vehicle crash on the Florida Turnpike Monday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Timothy Toddy, 40, was driving a Hyundai sedan in lane four of the southbound lanes near mile marker 272 when he lost control for an unknown reason and struck a dump truck being driven by Paul Walker, 61, of Leesburg.
Toddy then entered the path of a Ford SUV being driven by Christopher Ford, 57, of Orlando and then collided with a Toyota Camry being driven by Ashlee Arbinbi-Salom, 27, of Groveland. A 16-year-old girl was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with critical injuries and an 11-year-old girl was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with minor injuries. The other three drivers were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
