EUSTIS, Florida – Eustis Police responded to a call of a fight stemming from Facebook posts Saturday night, alleging a man was attacked by a crowbar. Police located Dylan Fry, 25, of Sorrento about one half mile away from the scene of the fight sitting on his tailgate, bleeding from the back of the head. He told police his son’s mother asked him to come over to a friend’s house where he was attacked by four people with tire irons and crowbars and a pitbull; but the evidence and his alleged attackers told a different story.
According to the arrest affidavit, angry over Facebook posts and child-related issues, Fry was speeding and came to a screeching halt just past the house Mason Aramiro shares with Shannon Moneypenny while they were talking with Fry’s son’s mother, Brook Thompson. Fry fell out of his truck and appeared to be drunk, the affidavit states, he shoved the two women and Aramiro told him to leave. Fry charged at him with an unopened beer bottle and Aramiro grabbed Fry by the thighs, picked him up and dropped him on his head. Police found a broken beer bottle and freshly-spilled beer on the scene. The child Fry and Thompson share was not present.
Fry was treated and released from AdventHealth Waterman and police arrested him on charges of aggravated assault and domestic battery. He was released Sunday on $2,000 bond.
