EUSTIS, Florida — Eustis Police Department is investigating a double stabbing that occurred on Grand Island Shores Road, shortly after 5:30 a.m. Saturday, according to EPD Officer J. Allred.
EPD responded to 2722 Grand Island Shores Road, Eustis on a report of a battery, according to a press release; upon arrival they found the caller rendering aid to male inside the home who was suffering from stab wounds. Another male was also at the home.
“Due to the evidence on scene it was clear the residence is where the incident took place,” Allred said in the press release.
Officers on scene received information a second stabbing victim was at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares. The investigation revealed that victim was also stabbed at the home on Grand Island Shores Road, Allred said. Both victims were transported by air to separate hospitals for further treatment and are expected to recover.
“It is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” Allred said.
