EUSTIS, Florida — A Eustis man was transported from the Volusia County Jail to the Lake County Jail Monday to face a sexual battery charge and lewd and lascivious molestation charge stemming from an incident in February.
According to a probable cause affidavit, a juvenile female disclosed Ricky Edwin Berlin, 58, touched her and sexually battered her on Feb. 13, earlier in the day. The girl, whose age was not listed in the affidavit, said Berlin touched her while they were lying in his bed together. The relationship between the victim and Berlin is not listed in the affidavit.
A warrant was issued for Berlin Feb. 17 and he was arrested in Volusia County on Feb. 21 and held in the Volusia County Jail until he was transported to LCJ Monday, where he is being held on no bond.
