LEESBURG, Florida — A man who a victim described as, “crazed out of his mind and drunk,” is in the Lake County Jail on $25,000 bond and facing three felony charges.
Responding to a fight in progress, a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy was met by the female victim at a home in the 100 block of Pine Tree Drive in Leesburg Tuesday morning. The female victim told the deputy Michael Sean Fiori, 47, arrived at the residence the night before and woke up in a very “angry and abusive” mood, according to the arrest affidavit.
Fiori began throwing food at the 67-year-old woman and when she said she was going to call 9-1-1, Fiori allegedly broke her phone, pushed her to the floor twice and started to hit her. The woman’s 72-year-old disabled husband got between the pair and Fiori pushed and hit him. The man told the arresting deputy Fiori was “crazed out of his mind and drunk,” and they fought from the living room into the kitchen and finally the carport.
Fiori was taken into custody and charged with two felony counts of battery upon a person 65 years of age or older and depriving use of 9-1-1.
