LEESBURG, Florida — A homeless man who was acting “very strangely” was charged with exposure of sexual organs and loitering and prowling Friday morning.
The complainant told a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy a man was lying in a ditch near the intersection of US Highway 441 and County Road 473; the deputy canvassed the area and found Noah Justin Arenas, 24, “standing on the sidewalk repeatedly pulling down his pants and underwear to reveal his penis and buttocks,” an arrest affidavit states.
The deputy told him to stop and Arenas complied, but then ran into a wooded area and into a Walgreens’ parking lot. The deputy pulled into the parking lot and Arenas fled again across County Road 473. He was taken into custody at County Road 473 and Memory Lane.
On the way to the Lake County Jail, Arenas stated numerous times he wanted to die and wanted to kill himself and a law enforcement Baker Act was completed, according to the affidavit.
Arenas is being held in the LCJ on $2,000 bond.
