CLERMONT, Florida — A 16-year-old East Ridge High School student was arrested for possessing a stun gun and pepper spray Wednesday.
According to an arrest affidavit, an in-school suspension teacher contacted an assistant principal and told him the girl may be in possession of a stun gun. The assistant principal searched the girl’s purse and found the stun gun and pepper spray.
The school resource deputy and took her into custody and she agreed to speak with him, the affidavit states. She told the SRD she got the stun gun and pepper spray from her mom and had it for protection.
