EUSTIS, Florida – For the second time this month, law enforcement officers served a narcotics search warrant at a local motel.
Eustis Police Department, along with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau and Metro SWAT served the warrant at Colonial Inn Motel, 1000 South Bay Street, Room 16, and recovered drugs and two guns, including one that was stolen.
Corin Perkins, 28, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Codeine, a schedule III narcotic. Tyron Jones, age unknown, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, grand theft of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, less than 20 grams.
On Oct. 4, Eustis Police and LCSO served a search warrant at the same motel, for rooms 25 and 26. That search warrant resulted in the arrests of three people
In the Oct. 4 case, police charged Christopher Arvel Tarver with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of public housing, possession of marijuana less than 20 grams, possession of MDMA, armed trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in fentanyl and possession of both a schedule II and schedule III narcotic. Nicholas George Bruno was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nakia Bailey Wilcher was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
