LEESBURG, Florida — A Leesburg man is facing charges after being accused of fondling a mentally-delayed juvenile girl and asking her for nude photos multiple times.
David Vonoesen, 48, is alleged to have fondled the girl’s breast after bringing the girl a drink, she told Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies in April, according to an arrest affidavit. The girl, who has been diagnosed with two different conditions that cause mental delays, also told the detective Vonoesen sent her text messages asking for nude photos. She said she blocked Vonoesen from her phone and he then sent her a message referencing two sex acts and threatened to tell her mother. She provided screenshots of the text messages to the detective.
The girl was interviewed a second time at the Children’s Advocacy Center and her story was consistent with what she earlier told the LCSO deputies, according to the affidavit.
A warrant for Vonoesen’s arrest was issued in April and he was picked up at his home in Leesburg Monday night; he is facing a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a disabled person and solicitation of child pornography. He was released from the Lake County Jail early Tuesday morning on $4,000 bond.
