MINNEOLA, Florida – A six-mile trip on a skateboard to see a 15-year-old girl ended in a lewd and lascivious battery charge for an 18-year-old man Thursday.
The girl told a deputy and officials at the Children’s Advocacy Center that she and Logan Metts, 18, were talking in the woods near her house Wednesday, when he put both his hands around her neck and “squeezed really hard.” She said everything got dark and she patted his hand and he stopped, according to the affidavit. He then allegedly sodomized her and did not stop until she said “ouch” and “stop” three times. Metts started apologizing and looked upset, so the victim hugged him, according to police. Metts then told her she was “disobeying” and then he had her perform oral sex on him, according to the affidavit, causing her to choke. He pulled his pants up and the victim heard her dad’s car, so she left the woods.
She told officials Metts knew she was 15 and this was the first time they had sex. She was examined and had trauma consistent with her statements, according to the affidavit. Metts agreed to speak with deputies and he told them he rode his skateboard six miles to see her and knew she was 15. Family members and friends have warned him not to date the victim because of her age, Metts reportedly admitted. He told the deputies he “loves the juvenile victim very much and would never hurt her,” according to the affidavit. He admitted the sodomy, but told deputies he stopped when the girl said it hurt.
Metts was arrested and released Thursday from the Lake County Jail on $10,000 bond.
