LEESBURG, Florida — A man was found dead from an apparent overdose in the Bassville Park area of unincorporated Leesburg Wednesday afternoon, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Jones.
The man, a white male in his late twenties, is not being identified publicly, pending notification of next of kin, Jones told Lake Legal News. A woman was walking in a wooded area near Ike Avenue and Westmont Road shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when she found the man’s body, Jones said.
“It looks like it was an apparent overdose,” Jones told LLN.
