FRUITLAND PARK, Florida — Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies are in a tense situation in Fruitland Park after the LCSO Warrants Unit attempted to serve an out-of-state warrant Thursday.
The Warrants Unit responded to a mobile home on Picciola Road Thursday to serve an out-of-state warrant and when they knocked on the door they heard what they thought may have been gunshots, said LCSO Sgt. Fred Jones. They backed off and called in the SWAT Team.
This situation is active. “We haven’t been able to make any contact at this time,” Jones said.
This is a developing story.
