LEESBURG, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is on scene of a fatal crash at County Road 44 and Treasure Island Avenue, said FHP Lt. Kim Montes.
Two pickup trucks collided head-on, around 4:15 p.m. and County Road 44 is shutdown in the area, Montes said. Both drivers were transported to the hospital and one man was pronounced dead at UF Health Leesburg, Montes said.
