EUSTIS, Florida — Acting on a tip about possible drug activity, the Eustis Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) pulled over a suspicious vehicle Wednesday and busted a woman with numerous drugs, including a trafficking amount of Fentanyl.
Working the tip it received about drug activity in the 500 block of Lakeview Avenue, an officer in SEU spotted a suspicious vehicle with several occupants leave a residence, make several abrupt turns and “attempt to conceal themselves from the officer,” the press release states.
The vehicle pulled into the driveway of a vacant home on South Eustis Street and after an investigation, Corin Marie “Cee Cee” Perkins, 29, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of Clonazepam, possession Tramadol, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in Fentanyl. Perkins said the Fentanyl was “fake” and she intended to sell someone the fake drugs for $400, according to the press release. Perkins suffered a medical episode and was taken to an area hospital and was arrested Friday afternoon, Eustis Police Cpl. Lauren Brown told Lake Legal News.
LLN first reported about Perkins in October 2019 when her room at Colonial Inn, 1000 South Bay Street, was searched by police. She was out on bond for two counts of possession of methamphetamine stemming from that search warrant. Her bond is expected to be revoked on those charges, according to Brown. She is currently being held at the Lake County Jail on $35,000 bond.
