MOUNT DORA, Florida — A man who was upset his ex-girlfriend would not talk to him after breaking up with him, is accused attacking her car with a baseball bat.
A woman told Mount Dora Police her ex-boyfriend, Javon D. Hill, of Mount Dora came to her home on Little John Court to argue after she broke up with him Thursday morning. The victim told Hill, 19, they were done and to leave, and he went to his work truck and sat in it for awhile according to an arrest affidavit.
Hill then exited the truck with a baseball bat and said, “I love you and you gone [expletive] do this to me?” Hill, also known as “Gramp” then went to the victim’s car and began striking it with the bat, breaking both taillights, the passenger side mirror and causing several other dents. A witness confirmed the victim’s version of events to police.
Thursday afternoon, Mount Dora Police responded to the victim’s job after Hill sent multiple text messages to her and her sister, including, “I’m gonna show all them [expletive] at her job who the crazy one,” and “I told her jail or hell.”
Hill agreed to meet officers near the victim’s home and admitted he struck her car with a bat. Hill was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief and stalking. He was released from the Lake County Jail on $3,000 bond.
