MOUNT DORA, Florida — A 19-year-old Mount Dora man is behind bars after police say he and another man invaded the home of one of his neighbors.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Erick Josue Sanchez Hernandez and an unidentified male knocked on the windows of an apartment on Spring Harbor Circle at Spring Harbor Apartments, shortly before 11 p.m. March 3. One of the occupants went to the front door and the two men forced their way inside.
Both men, brandishing handguns, ordered the two occupants to the floor at gunpoint and told them if they moved, they would be shot, according to the affidavit. Hernandez, who was identified by one of the victims as a man featured on an “attempt to identify” Facebook post from July 2019, stood over the pair while the unidentified man went through the bedrooms and took cash, a Macbook computer, two PS4 gaming consoles, 10 games and a passport.
Hernandez, who also lives in Spring Harbor Apartments, was positively identified in a photo line-up and a warrant was issued for his arrest March 6. He was picked up Tuesday and charged with home invasion with a firearm, false imprisonment and possession of personal identification. He is being held at the Lake County Jail on $37,000 bond.
