EUSTIS, Florida — Three local SWAT teams served a search warrant in Eustis Thursday morning, resulting in the arrest of one man.
Roderick Charles Thomas, 53, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug equipment after the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Eustis Police Department and Leesburg Police Department SWAT teams served a searched warrant at 1806 Selleen Drive, Eustis, according to an arrest affidavit.
SWAT team members searched the home and found two small clear baggies containing a white, powdery substance and a cut straw used to snort drugs in the top drawer of a dresser in Thomas’ bedroom, the affidavit states.
Detectives questioned Thomas on scene and he admitted the powder was cocaine and he had it for personal use. He also told detectives the straw was used to snort the cocaine.
Thomas was released from the Lake County Jail on $6,000 bond.
