UMATILLA, Florida — The body of an elderly man was found in Lake Yale Friday afternoon, said Lake County Sheriff’s Lt. John Herrell.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a fisherman found the body and called in it, Herrell said.
“An elderly subject who was terminally ill had gone out fishing early this morning,” Herrell told Lake Legal News in a text message, ”It appears he fell in the water as he was bringing his boat back in.”
LCSO is not releasing his name at this time, Herrell said.
This is a developing story.
